Deep in the heart (clap clap) of Texas, Tx, United States
I am a veteran and the wife of a soldier. Together we have spent our adult lifetime serving our Nation, it's soldiers and families that support it. We have lived all over the country and experienced more then we ever expected. It is a life I love and one that I hold very close to me, but one that is bittersweet, filled with both joy and sacrifice, friendship and loss...but it is never without hope.
Donnie's gone so I have to occupy my time somehow. I was cleaning the kitchen and decided that the pantry doors needed to be black, to match the cabinets. Next...I'm finishing the girls room!
You were right they did need to be painted black. IT looks so good. Only you could have that vision. Mine would be white forever and I would never even dream to change them.
hey Kristi. I found you while "blog stalking" hehe! anyhoo its great to see whats going on with you. havn't seen you for...well its been a long time. I added you to my bloggn friends, I hope you dont mind :) Tasha(Payne)Utley
The above picture was taken moments before Donnie's unit left for Iraq in 2004. Marlys was only three months old. To date, that was the hardest day of my life. I stood there and watched them march out the door...making sure that I didn't take my eyes off of him until he was gone. I didn't know if I would ever see him again.
