The above picture was taken moments before Donnie's unit left for Iraq in 2004. Marlys was only three months old. To date, that was the hardest day of my life. I stood there and watched them march out the door...making sure that I didn't take my eyes off of him until he was gone. I didn't know if I would ever see him again.

What beautiful baby dolls! I think you are the prettiest girls I have ever seen. Grandma loves you so much and I can't wait till I see you in July. Remember that Grandma Janie loves you forever!!!
