Deep in the heart (clap clap) of Texas, Tx, United States
I am a veteran and the wife of a soldier. Together we have spent our adult lifetime serving our Nation, it's soldiers and families that support it. We have lived all over the country and experienced more then we ever expected. It is a life I love and one that I hold very close to me, but one that is bittersweet, filled with both joy and sacrifice, friendship and loss...but it is never without hope.
Of course the most everything, right! You have a 6 year old, you are getting old. Ha! She is adorable and you are the cutest Mom ever. Your Mom told me how cute your house is, I agree from the picts I have seen. You are so talented!
I found your blog on MMB. I saw your picture on the right and my eyes just watered right up. Living the military life definatly has its challenges. Its always nice to meet another member of the church and army wife. Come stop by my blog anytime!
Hi Kristi- Thanks for visiting me over at The Mother Huddle. You have a way cute family and I think it is awesome that you are a Vet. God Bless you and your fam. Glad to hear your hubby will be home soon. Maria
The above picture was taken moments before Donnie's unit left for Iraq in 2004. Marlys was only three months old. To date, that was the hardest day of my life. I stood there and watched them march out the door...making sure that I didn't take my eyes off of him until he was gone. I didn't know if I would ever see him again.
