What a Guy!

My little Donnie came home for the weekend! He got here on Saturday and got to stay until 6 am Monday. It was so nice to have him in our house! Donnie loves to cook, and it's a good thing, because I do not. He's an excellent cook though, and he's always making up good stuff to eat! Isn't that a cute apron?

He made this little recipe up a couple months ago when we had a lot of deer meat and didn't know what to do with it. We don't have any more deer meat, so he made this with steak.
It's super good....WAY good, so you might want to try it for yourself. He gets fresh jalapeno's and cuts them in half. You have to take out all the seeds so they aren't too hot to enjoy.
After you get them all cleaned out you squish cream cheese in the middle of each one and put a strip of meat down the middle. Then you take a full piece of bacon and wrap around it a few times. Secure it with a toothpick and stick them on the grill until the bacon is cooked.
I didn't get a shot of them after we cooked them because we ate them before I thought about it. They are delish though, seriously...amazing.
See? They even make Thelma drool.

I'm jealous on so many levels! One a husband that can cook good food, two you got to see your husband in person, three you got to see your husband in person. So great!
