Deep in the heart (clap clap) of Texas, Tx, United States
I am a veteran and the wife of a soldier. Together we have spent our adult lifetime serving our Nation, it's soldiers and families that support it. We have lived all over the country and experienced more then we ever expected. It is a life I love and one that I hold very close to me, but one that is bittersweet, filled with both joy and sacrifice, friendship and loss...but it is never without hope.
Hi! Wow, the picture of your husband leaving with his helmet on and the baby...whew! Tell him thank you for me, please. And thank you for your comment on my guest post at Nesting Place. Remodeling Guy
The above picture was taken moments before Donnie's unit left for Iraq in 2004. Marlys was only three months old. To date, that was the hardest day of my life. I stood there and watched them march out the door...making sure that I didn't take my eyes off of him until he was gone. I didn't know if I would ever see him again.

This global warming thing is brutal. The last 3 years have been some of the coldest on record. Save us Al Gore!
SNOW SNOW SNOW!!! I'm glad it's going to visit you, that means it's gonna go away here!!!
Beautiful pics, but I'm ready for spring already! I live in the south too and it feels like the COLDEST winter ever.
Yea, snow, you should be excited!
Are you serious? That is so cool, I bet your girls loved it. I bet that made you miss Utah! ;)
