Me and My Little Donnie
Thanksgiving was so fun! Donnie met us in Tennessee on Wednesday night and got to stay until Saturday morning. The girls were so excited. He picked Rylee up and she didn't know what to do, she just kept looking at him and rubbing his face. We can't wait to see him for Christmas!

The Quilt
The border on the back is made out of the material on the front, that's why it looks like it doesn't match in some spots where it's flipped over on the front.
With Donnie gone I've started to get really bored. Out of nowhere I just decided to make a rag quilt. The first problem was: I didn't know how to make a rag quilt. The second problem was: I really don't know how to sew.
I found some instructions on the internet and figured I'd catch the hang of sewing as I went along.
Holy crap! This was so much fun to make! I put in 54 hours! 54 hours of my life I will never get back! It was worth it though, because the quilt turned out PERFECT. I figured the back would look like garbage because it was checkerboard, but seriously, I am so proud of myself, it matched up perfect. Yea for me! I did it! (that's Ry's favorite line)

Fridge Tag!
Go to the fridge. Open the door. Take a picture. Post it. DON'T try to straighten it up so it looks like you're on MTV's Cribs.
I Tag: Jill, Aubrie, Lohren, Lynnzie, Erin, Ashlee, Janice, Leslie, & Annamarie
No Donnie = Kristi's favorite meals
So since Donnie is gone I no longer have to worry about pleasing him at dinner time. If he were here, chances are pretty good we'd be grilling a steak for dinner. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE steak, I just don't love steak every day like he does.
Tonight I made me and the girls corndogs, popcorn chicken, and onion rings (from Schwans...they are divine!). That's what I'm talkin about.

Our Schedule from now till 2010
So the Army was gracious enough to provide a glimpse into our future for the next year or so. As you may already know, Donnie is attending BNCOC at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. Yes, that would be the same Redstone Arsenal where we met in 2001.
He will graduate on January 23rd. I can't wait, we already miss him A LOT! His next little journey will a little deployment to a country named Qatar. He will leave in April and return in October. What do they do in Qatar? Well, I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking there will be a lot of this:

When he gets home from Qatar he will be heading off for Warrant Officer Candidate School for 4 weeks
and then the Warrant Officer Basic Course back at Redstone for 10 more weeks.
Where does that put us? I'm thinking we'll get Donnie back as a full time husband and father somewhere around March or April 2010...but I can't say for sure. We don't have a date for the Warrant Officer schools yet, so they could very well push the date even farther into 2010. Ahhh, the Army life :)

Happy Birthday Lynnzie!
.jpg)
Today is my beautiful niece's 15th birthday! She's such a babe! Lynnzie was my very first niece, and I am so happy that she has grown up to be the young lady she was meant to be! They don't get much better than her. I love you Lynnzie!

All I Do Is Paint!

Donnie's gone so I have to occupy my time somehow. I was cleaning the kitchen and decided that the pantry doors needed to be black, to match the cabinets. Next...I'm finishing the girls room!
