The Big 2-9!

Yesterday I celebrated my 29th birthday. We had SO MUCH FUN! We went out to eat at a restaurant called Rush Street because we knew the guy who was playing there last night. His name is Mike Tate and he's Donnie's best friends dad. He sings so super good, and my favorite song of his is "Chevy Van". He got up there and sang me happy birthday and then told everybody how that's my favorite song and then played it for me. It was so cool.

Anyways, I don't feel any older, I guess that'll come with the big 3-0. Here's a pic Marlys took of me on my birthday. You can tell by the massive wrinkles under my eyes that I am old.

There's also a picture of my birthday cake that she picked out. She just knew I was gonna love those butterfly rings!

You are supposed to do this "in real life", you can't touch up or clean...which makes it extremely embarrassing if you're like me and living in a p.o.s. apartment that wouldn't look good even if I DID clean it :)

My favorite room would be my living room....in Texas. I don't have a favorite here, I hate this apartment, so to make this an honest post, I have to go back "home".

Catching Lightning Bugs

It's really hard to get a picture of a lightning bug! We were in Tennessee over the weekend and I realized Mar hadn't ever had the experience of catching lightning bugs. It's no big deal here in the south, but to someone from Utah, this experience is worth blogging about! You can't see anything in the video until the end, when I shake the jar, but hearing the 2 little Tennessee accents (Mar and her cousin Kendall) in the background trying to catch them is definately worth playing the video for.

The Beach..round 2

We went to the beach Sunday afternoon and stayed overnight. Donnie doesn't have to be to work till 5PM so that worked out pretty good! It was SO SO SO nice. We can't wait to go back next week!
