So now what??? I feel bad that it's there, but I don't want to let my dang fern die! I'm probably going to hell for that, but criminy....who lays an egg in a hanging plant? We have a ginormous tree in the front yard, would it have been so hard to lay it there????

Oh its not sad at all. DAMN bird. I guess to save the thing you could transfer the nest somewhere....NAH!!
I was telling my grandparents about this problem at my house and they said to just water - everything will be fine. I also found out they are not finches - they are wrens!
