Deep in the heart (clap clap) of Texas, Tx, United States
I am a veteran and the wife of a soldier. Together we have spent our adult lifetime serving our Nation, it's soldiers and families that support it. We have lived all over the country and experienced more then we ever expected. It is a life I love and one that I hold very close to me, but one that is bittersweet, filled with both joy and sacrifice, friendship and loss...but it is never without hope.
Did you do that?....digitally? If you did, I need some pointers for digital scrapbooking. You are talented! Okay, I love the post about the "wal-mart way" cooking and had you lived in Texas you would have made them the old fashioned way because of cupboard space. Oh my "L", you are stinkin' hilarious! Remember that story you wrote about Jace and I went we didn't go on the senior trip - Oh my heck, I still think about that. That's funny stuff....and you, my girl, are the funniest ever!
The above picture was taken moments before Donnie's unit left for Iraq in 2004. Marlys was only three months old. To date, that was the hardest day of my life. I stood there and watched them march out the door...making sure that I didn't take my eyes off of him until he was gone. I didn't know if I would ever see him again.
