Deep in the heart (clap clap) of Texas, Tx, United States
I am a veteran and the wife of a soldier. Together we have spent our adult lifetime serving our Nation, it's soldiers and families that support it. We have lived all over the country and experienced more then we ever expected. It is a life I love and one that I hold very close to me, but one that is bittersweet, filled with both joy and sacrifice, friendship and loss...but it is never without hope.
Just a picture of the girls and their pumpkins. I'm so NOT into carving them. I don't know, there's something just a little bit too white trash about rotting pumpkins on your front porch.
your girls are so cute :) yeah, we've had that old door for about 2 years now and had NO clue where to use it - but colorwise it's pretty much perfect in there - it's the only pink i would allow :) jk. i'm thinking of putting a few hooks on it to hang like her towel from ... any other suggestions on what could hang there?
The above picture was taken moments before Donnie's unit left for Iraq in 2004. Marlys was only three months old. To date, that was the hardest day of my life. I stood there and watched them march out the door...making sure that I didn't take my eyes off of him until he was gone. I didn't know if I would ever see him again.
